I have a dishwasher and the rinse cycle doesn't seem to work. I only know this because the the compartment where the rinse solution goes in is still full when i go to fill it for the next wash. So the solution is not getting used, indicating that the rinse cycle is not rinsing.

Rinse aid dispenser can receive a maximum level of 140 ml rinse agent. Consumption rinse agent could be per wash cycle of 2 to 7 ml depending on the settings.
Thus 140 ml is enough for 20-70 wash cycles, depending on the degree of adjustment.
Your dishwasher has been designed to use a liquid rinse aid. Pouring a liquid rinse aid into the proper recepticle in your dishwasher when you add dish detergent greatly improves drying performance. You can further improve drying performance by selecting the Sanitize option, in addition to the other options you've selected, and increasing the water temperature. For Best Results, use Jet-Dry Turbo
Spots and film form in your dishwasher's rinse cycle, when detergents are already down the drain. FINISH® JET-DRY® Rinse Agent works in the rinse cycle, lowering the surface tension of water and causing it to sheet. Better rinsing results in less spots and film.

Hi,
I have an older dishwasher also and recently mywife also complained about it not cleaning right... so me being the man I amtried in vain to clean the things... Bought new spray arms online and installedthem in minutes...now the thing works like new... However I have also foundthat if the heating element goes bad then that also can mess things up bad...So I would buy new spray arms, and also check out the heating element to makesure it is working... Here is a tip that will help you with the onlinebuying...
Dishwasher SprayArms not Spinning
You won't see any liquid it comes out and gets rinsed off during the last wash cycle. As for detergant I think your best bet is to use the tablets. Like the three and one "Finnish " Hope this helps.
Your post doesn`t specify a model number, however on most Bosch dishwashers in order to change from "rinse & hold" to "regular" ( or any cycle ) simply turn the unit "on" and once the machine begins push the regular button twice.
Or the button applicable to the cycle you want.
That should change the display to look like this...
If this doesn`t work, try it for "econo" or any alternative and let me know how it goes.
The amount you have put in although not good is not too serious. You can try putting nothing in dispenser for a few washes and see how that goes.If you are using the 3 or 4 in one tablets you should not need to dose with rinse aid or salt as it is in the tablets.
My dishwasher Indesit DI67S will not run on the number 1 cycle. It will fill and then when that programme finishes it jumps straight to the drying cycle missing all the rinses out etc. If on the number 2 programme it goes all the way through but then doesn't dry. I've also noticed that the water doesn't seem to be heating up much and certainly isn't drying. Is this the element or something else? Once its reached the drying cycle the light for this just flashes then I have a job to try and reset the machine. It can take endless attempts. Will switching the machine off at the mains solve anything or is it the element? Thankyou
