If you are getting trouble proper error that can not install drivers for windows 7 so follow the guidelines-
First of all, you have to uninstall the hp drivers and go to the official website and select your model number and operating system then install the drivers. After downloading start the installation and meanwhile you must remind that your system should be the plug on with a board. After finishing the installation restart your device and printer and start your work. If you are still stuck to perform an action so call at Hp support assistant 1-888-315-9712 and get support.

Hi, Windows 7 has the PSC 1400 series printer naative driver included. You need to go to the Printers folder then launch Add Printer, and when the list of printers comes up select "Windows Update".

You may also go to HP website. Click on software and driver downloads. You may choose appropriate windows version. It includes both windows 7 32bit and 64bit versions. Remember, still, drivers and softwares are limited to the manufacturer's releases.

Maybe, It doesn't work because the driver you installed. It is for other versions of operating system. I am also using windows 7 like you.Dont worry, You can still use your installer/driver from other versions of operating systems. Before you installing any program/driver in a windows 7 Operating System Computer, Use "troubleshoot compatibility". Right Click the Icon of your program installer first, then choose "troubleshoot compatiblity". This will allow you to choose on what type operating system your program will run. Just reply back if it still doesn't work.:D
