Question is somewhat vague, but make sure you have the latest chipset drivers installed. This usually contains USB drivers that allow your laptop to recognize USB devices. Go to Dell.com and under "support" you can distinguish the drivers you need based on your laptop model (and even your service tag).
the new hard drive has to be Formatted using the format command. look up dos format command or a utility program. then you have to reinstall Windows ?(whatever you had i guess) on the pc. any drivers disk for that pc needs to run after you format the hard drive and before installing the Windows operating system. exactly how depends. go on the HOW TO search site to find the exact steps -
You can remove or change the Window's User oradministrator's password. You need access to a computer with Internet access todownload the Hiren's Boot CD and burn it onto a CD.Then insert this CD into the laptop/computer and boot upthe laptop/computer with the Hiren's CD and follow the instructions. There are very useful utilities CD and it a Linux boot CDwhich contains quite a lot of Utility programs including a password removalprogram.Click on one of these links todownload HIREN'S BOOTCD :-http://www.hirensbootcd.net/http://67.20.82.163/
That computer is about 5 years old. Linux works very well with old computers. Takes up less space, uses less processor power to run, and comes with free versions of pretty much everything.
I don't even think a current version of windows will install on a 5 year old Dell. So you'd be stuck with out of date anti-virus and no updates.
When your shut down your computer and plug your the charger in your laptop that time Orange lite is showing on. if no showing then its problem to your laptop
Register it again. Even trough you already did this, porting the software from its program files folder does not always works fine. Windows' register has these registration saved, and your new PC doesn't.
There may be a workaround or two. First, Win7 wants a different installer. Try running the installer in a Compatability mode (right click on the exe, choose properties, click on the Compatability tab and put a check in the box for run this program in the compatability mode, use the drop down to choose the latest OS that you know will run the program, then right click again on the program and choose run as administrator). If your new computer uses 64-bit Win7, this is even less likely to work. Microsoft needs signed files in 64-bit. Do the same compatability with the program if it installs.
If that doesn't work, try installing a virtual computer with an OS that runs the program in your Win7 machine (The free XP mode is available in Win7 Pro and Ultimate. It takes two downloads from Microsoft to install the computer and then install the program as if the XP mode was the only computer.)
Otherwise, upgrade the program. (The Microsoft compatability center gives information pending on the program.)
you need to go to the "lexmark.com website" and download the new "vista" driver, it was looking for XP, and they are two different programs, also you can go to "control panel", and Open scanners and Printers, and see if the vista "hardware wizard" picks it up, and installs it too, let me know if this helps, god bless......
there is many issues that can cause pcs and laptops to run slow removing programs probably wont help that much you need a cleaner program like ccleaner or auslogics boostspeed which is a good one! www.ccleaner.com or www.auslogics.com/en/software/boost-speed
