Feature 983 log in is 120000 (if 2 digit extension, 1020000 if 3 digit, 10020000 if 4 digit extensions)
Select Mbox, enter that locked extensions mail box number, You will see password RESET. Select RESET. Release out. This will reset that mail box password to 0000. Use feature 981 on that phone and enter the new default password of 0000. you will then be prompted to change the password.
So in other words, try 1020000, 10020000, 120000
I am having the same problem, except my locked mailbox is the reception phone and I thought the extensions were 0 and 300, and I'm resetting it and it's not working. Please help.
Feature 985 will show you a phone's extension
Hi - just got off the phone (paid $50 for this if you can believe it!), if you think your extension is 0 or something else, trying 100 (for reception). Also, if using Feature 983, and trying log is 12000 (or 1020000 or 10020000), try replacing those 0's with 1's (i.e., 12111, 1021111, 10021111). This should work
Yay! This worked. The only thing was the term "Release out" to me means: "hang up".
