I have a 55 Vizio 3D smart tv. This picture color fade in and out to the point that I cannot watch tv. I this a problem with the main board?

Hello Patricia,

There is a loose soldering connection in the Main Board. That happens because the components on the are generating a lot of heat therefore melting solder connections.
Stop beating on the TV's back, that only makes the problem worse.

Take it to a shop.Or if you are a tech, try locating the loose connection(s) and solder it back.
Also check your Warranty Period, It may cost you 0$. Call Vizio if you still have Warranty on the TV.

Vizio e470i LED HDTV picture is very dark, practically black, but the sound works. Its possible someone hit a menu button but I'm not sure. Please help!

check TV settings with the TV remote look for display or picture settings.

Replace the main board. That board controls all the symptoms you're having. You can get the Vizo Main Board 3642-0182-0150 thats the board for your model from www.tvcircuitboards.com it has a 6 month warranty

Vizio 47 inch java tv image gets stuck on the left side of the screen if i remove a wire component cable or the audio out the problem goes away . what is causing this and will the 1 year vizio warranty...

The problem is caused by a low voltage output. If its still under warranty have it fixed by a representative from VIZIO.

Picture is very very dark.

Vizio and their only authorized repair specialist (ITI) does do out of warranty repairs at a flat rate, you may want to give them a buzz.

No video/picture

Solution is to get it fixed (hopefully under warranty).

I have the same issue after owning the Vizio 42" LCD for just 5 months. They are coming to replace the part this week. I will also be purchasing the extended warranty as well, to avoid this problem in the future.

I had this same problem. Vizio sent someone out to replace the motherboard. It didn't fix the problem. Since it was under warranty, they replaced it with a newer model VU42L. Doesn't have this problem, but it has others.

My vizio has the same problem, no picture with only sounds. I tried calling vizio for help but their customer service and or tech support REALLY **** big time! They tossed me around to here and there with no solutions. My only suggestion to you is that, tell everyone related to you or your friends to not ever buy vizio again. Too many people is having problems with these sucky tvs. I'm still not sure what I am going to do with mine. Maybe I'll just let it fly down from a three story building!
