If a selfclean oven door lock fails to open after the self clean cycle and sufficient cooling time has elapsed (approximately 1 hour), there are several things you can try.

  1. Unplug the unit or shut off the circuit breaker for 5 minutes. Plug the unit back in or turn on the circuit breaker. Set the clock and gently try moving the door lock lever (is so equipped) or opening the door.

  2. Set the self-clean cycle again and only allow it to work for 15 minutes. Cancel the self-clean cycle and allow the oven to cool. Gently try moving the door lock lever (is so equipped) or opening the door.

If these procedures fail to correct the condition, the lock must usually be accessed and moved manually to open the door.

Here is what all your service manual says. Since this is not a generic error hence, no specific fixes available.

    Fault Code: F9

Likely Failure Condition/Cause:1. Door motor failure / jammed. Latch
    motor switch failure.
    2. Control software failure, or component failure (relay stuck).
    3. Wiring Problem.

    Suggested Corrective Action:
    1. Press CLEAR key.
    2. If CLEAR key does not eliminate problem, turn off power for 30 seconds, then turn on power.
    3. Check wiring of Lock Motor, and Lock Switch A and Door Switch circuits.
    4. Unplug P4, apply power (L1) directly to the Lock Motor, if the motor does not rotate, replace Lock Motor Assembly. Plug
    P4.
    5. Check Lock Switch A for proper operation (do they open and close, check with ohmmeter). The Lock Motor may be powered as in above step to open and close Lock Switch. If the Lock Switch is defective, replace Motor Lock Assembly.
    6. If all above steps fail to correct situation, replace control."

How do you unlock my frigdair oven door

Good Afternoon Anonymous, this is Z. I am happy to assist you!

I understand the oven door of your Frigidaire range is locked. May I please have your model number? The serial tag, which lists your model number, is typically located in the storage drawer, on the right side. With this information I can help you unlock the door.

In the meantime, try pressing the CLEAR/OFF or CANCEL button in for approximately three seconds if your range is a touchpad model.
If you have a knob type range control, I suggest starting a self-clean cycle. Then turn the stop time knob to the off position. If that does not work, then disconnect power to your range and reset it by either unplugging it or flipping the breaker off. I suggest waiting roughly ten minutes and then turn on your range.

Hope to hear from you soon and best of luck!

F9 beeping constantly

The F9 code indicates there is a problem with the door lock.

Try disconnecting the power to the range for 10 seconds and reconnecting. Open the oven door and hold the door switch plunger in while you try these things. Put the control into clean for 5 minutes then cancel clean. You must hold the door switch plunger in for the 5 minutes.

Try canceling the clean cycle without putting the control into clean.

Frigidaire Electric oven model # GLEB27S7C

If you unplug the range and remove the lower rear cover on your left side you should see the motor with 2 switch's on it. There are 3 possibilitys with it. One of the switch's on the assembly is not working or the light switch for the door is not good. You also can disconect the lead to the motor and connect a power cord to it and that will unlock the door so you can check the dor switch also. if you do not feel comfortable powering up the lock motor then you should call a repair man. But one of the switches is not letting the computer know the dor is locked.
