Garmin Street Pilot C330 - Produces Deafening Noise!

Sounds like the turbo. Get a reconditioned turbo as they are very expensive new.

The drum bearig at the back is failing, it's not a big job I've changed them myself esily just taking the top off first theres screw's at the back & you have to slide the top back with a little tap, then take off the back, you should see a big nut, if you havent got the tool's for that size as it's larger than normal socket set's, then carefully lever the bearing off the shaft from both side's evenly & re-fit & re-assemble. but get a repair man if you'r unsure as you do need some mechanical knowledge. But at least you can tell them the problem over the phone so they can order the replacement first !

Just open the unit and splice the wires, and use some electrical tape. Good as new.

Try to charge the unit for 4 hrs by using a wall adapter and then try power on it again and if still the same after you full charge the unit try to contact the manufacturer check if there is a latest firmware update for the unit.

You have to pry off the silver-colored faceplate from the unit and you will find a reset button on the right side of the screen. Push this and everything will back to normal.

pull out the faceplate by gently pulling it from a little slot under the logo (top - middle). you will see under it a button labeled "reset"

The instruction manual is available to download from Garmin's website, www.garmin.com. Click on the StreetPilot C330, then go to updates and downloads. You should find the manual there.
