It is depending on what type of video input your hd tv is compatible with. The hp pc that u are using has only the default vga port on the motherboard. Have you tried connecting the pc with the hd tv via a vga cable?

Upgradevidio card in a s3120n Hp slimeline to 9600 GT low profile, do i need anew pwer supple(160 w Presently).and what kind is recomendited (must be Quite)

You are not the only one having this problem with the HP slimline systems. The facts are HP doesn't make a 300watt power supply for your slimline. To make things worse HP uses a special small 24-pin main power connector. Power supply, Slimline dimensions are:
3.25" Wide X 1 5/8" Tall X 6" Deep. The highest PS I could find that will fit in your case is 270watts. Also made by HP;

This should work for you. The only other option would be to replace your slimline case with a standard ATA size case. Than your options for power supplies is endless.

Cheers!
