If These sd,ms/pro,mmc,sm,xd cards is working fine then use these card n forget about other slots. The only way you can do that is take the slot out.

Check your BIOS. Is it set to accept USB port or not

What you have to do is:

    1 Switch your PC on

2 Soon as it shows starting keep pressing DEL key (THIS SHOULD TAKE YOU TO BIOS SCREEN)

WARNING: DO NOT MESS AROUND THE BIOS IF YOU DON'T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT IT.

I think that is your problem. These sd,ms/pro,mmc,sm,xd cards might be conflicting with USB DRIVERS.

Sony NSZ-GT1 usb ports not working

You will need to contact Sony support directly to get this issue resolved. Likely the USB port is working, but there is a glitch in the software of the TV that makes it freeze. The fact that it freezes, means the port IS probably WORKING.

My computer freezes when i plug in external hard drives

Does it freeze when plugging in any USB device? Exam the USB port and plug/cable for any damage. I have seen the pins get bent and the tab cracked on a Dell USB port before.

My computer freezes when i plug in to the usb with

It sounds like a defect in the USB circuit on your system board. (This assumes that the problem occurs with any USB port). You might be able to add a PCMCIA board to add USB funcionality without replacing the system board to save money.

Try connecting to another USB port preferably to the back of pc not through any hub. Uninstall and then reinstall camera driver carefully following procedure in the accompanying manual.

The video will freeze and go blank

How much memory do you have installed in your computer. This can be a factor why it freezes up.
You can also try this.
Normal 0 Try disconnecting the Camera from the USB port and reinstall the CD software program. When the program asks you to connect the camera to the USB port, do so and it should work.
Hope this helps. Bud

Computer locks up when plugged into camera

Might be that the USB Port you're plugging the webcam into is USB1.1 and the camera is USB 2????

look at the port on the computer.. is it Black Plastic or White... If Black It is USB 1 if White...USB2...

Might be that causing the freeze up... Hope it helps

Computer freeze on saving files to USB 2.0 External Hard Drive (and USB2 flash drive)

Suggest you look at the motherboard book to check if or how many USB connections are in fact USB 2 compatible. Most modern Motherboards only have 2 USB 2.0 Compatible connections, most are 3.0 or 4.0 compatible. Hope this helps, Malcolm Campbell.
