My Dimplex model #6901470100 (purchased new in 2007) just stopped working. It was on then just turned off by itself. Both lightbulbs are OK. What would cause this?

It probably overheated and the overheat module shut the heater down. It may reset itself once it cools down. Or the heating element has burned out. There are a host of issues with these electric fireplaces (not just Dimplex). They are sold as a decorative, supplemental heat source, but in fact, if you get more than a years use out of it without a problem, you're probably the exception. The heaters just aren't meant to run for a long period of time. It's like turning on a blow drier and letting it run for an hour. Nine times out of ten the blower driver will overheat and burn out.

I really wish I had better news for you (I answer this type of question at least 5 to 6 times a week), but I don't.

The only good news would be, if it's still under warranty (one year), have your Proof of Purchase and contact Dimplex USA. Technical Service: 1- 888-346-7539. Customer Service: 800-668-6663

Even if I just have the flame effect on, it shuts off the bulbs after about 45 secs then a few minutes later , it comes on for another 45 secs or so. If I put on heater, it works continuously ok but the log flame goes off and on as described above..

Just purchased a dimplex DS5629 electric stove. Plugged it in, but NO HEAT and NO BLOWER. Dimplex is closed for the weekend. NOW WHAT???

Ar e you sure that the receptacle your have it plugged into is working? If it is, you can try this. It usually works. Turn the Master On/Off Switch to OFF. Unplug the unit and leave unplugged to 12 - 15 minutes. Plug the unit back in and turn the Master On/Off Switch to ON. Then, turn each individual function one at a time. If they ail function as they should, the unit has reset itself.

If it doesn't work, then you'll have to wait until Monday to contact Dimplex OR you could contact the retailer you purchased it from and have them replace it immediately. That is, unless you purchased it online. Then, it would be better to wait until Monday and contact Dimplex. Be sure you have your Model Number and Proof of Purchase, when you contact them. In case you don't have it, their Technical Support number is 888-346-7539.

Hope this helps you solve the problem.

I have a Dimplex electric grill like the BPC one and it won't come on. Plugged in and nothing happens. It was purchased late summer 2010

If you still have your Proof of Purchase, it's still under warranty. Contact Dimplex USA, Customer Service at 800-668-6663. If you don't have your Proof of Purchase contact Dimplex USA, Technical Service at 888-346-7539. But, before making any calls, check the receptacle that the grill is plugged in to, to make sure it's functioning. If it isn't then the circuit breaker for that receptacle has been tripped and needs to be reset. Reset the breaker without anything plugged into the receptacle. Then plug the grill back and turn it on in to see if it tripped the breaker. Often times, the receptacle itself can be at fault and may need to be replaced.

Hope this helps your solve the problem.

Need to replace noisy fan motor on Dimplex 6901470100 Not sure how to gett access to blower. Thanks

If you no longer have your Owners Manual go to the Dimplex home page and click on the Help tab. You should be able to download the Owners Manual for your model fireplace there in a pdf format. Also look for a Trouble Shooting tab.
