I don't know that I can help you in any way other than to say that you are probably right. But some times the blower wheels do come loose and spin somewhat freely on the shaft and make a similar noise. But when that happens, you will usually notice a vibrating sound right after the drum stops spinning. Because the blower wheel continues to spin for a second or two. But I have seen, popsicle sticks, jewelry, bobby pins, those plastic white things that are under the collar in shirts and all sorts of other things in those blower wheels making noise.

Good luck

Maytag performa electric dyer makes dragging noise drum turns but acts like something catches and makes a dragging or scraping sound

assuming nothing is stuck around drum pull off the front and check the fan. If it is noisy for a few seconds after you stop the dryer then the fan may be stripped on motor shaft. while off you can check the front glides and the rear rollers

Dryer makes rumbling sound when starting

If you remove the front cover and access the blower fan and see if it is still tight on the shaft. if it isn't it makes a rumble sound when started due to vibrating and after a while it makes more noise as it goes. Now I removed the fan and placed a shim in the flat area and matched the flat area of the shaft and replace it back on the shaft and it should solve it.

I have a Sunsung RS21JLSG, and it's not chilling the food like it should. It's making terrible noise, sounds like a generator. Anyone know the problem?

Fan blade is hitting something probably, could be ice buildup in the freezer compartment. Open the freezer door and see if thats where your noise is coming from. If it is coming from the back of the refrigerator at the bottom could be something was drawn into the fan causing you noise.

LG Fridge making intermittent sound - like something hitting fan

GAIN ACCESS TO THE FAN IN THE FREEZER(EASIER SAID THAN DONE) AND INSPECT THE FAN BLADE AND FAN SHROUD. HAVE REFRIGERATOR TURNED OFF AND MANUALLY ADVANCE FAN BLADE. WATCH FOR SLIGHT CONTACT BETWEEN THE FAN BLADE AND OTHER OBJECTS NEAR IT-ELECTRICAL WIRING, FAN SHROUD, ICE CYCLE,ETC. ADJUST FAN BLADE OR OBJECT TO INCREASE CLEARANCE.
