How to reset philips TV 42hfl5860d/27

To do a hard reset, just unplug the TV from AC mains wall socket, and re-plug it back after 15 minutes or so. This procedure will make it a hard reset. If you want to make it a system reset [Factory Reset]; you have to enter its service mode option, and select the factory reset option. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Pull up older posts. Surf the site with patience. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/

I need to unlock my NEC TV-27W from being locked in Hotel Mode. I have lost the original remote controller and only uses a universal one. Any help will be greatly appreciated

You must have to enter its service mode option to release the TV from Hotel mode. It will be difficult to enter the service mode, with a universal remote control. Any way, just try to enter into service mode. If you wish to get more details, surf this link. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ There are more than two thousand and four hundred posts. We've several Hotel TV's from "Grundig" - Type "P 37 40a" that are locked as not to be reprogrammed by customers. Now we've to re-programme the TV's and do not know any more how to...

Yes they are in Hotel Mode, that is to stop finger trouble.
Go to programme 47 and with the original remote control press 3463. That will unlock them.

You will need a Zenith remote with a menu button
There should be a "hidden" menu. Before you access it, I want to warn you, do NOT change any values of anything you don't understand what it is or does. You can PERMANENTLY DAMAGE YOUR TV. Also, write down the original values of anything you change before changing it!!!!!
If you still want to proceed(at your own risk), here ya go.
1. Press and hold the menu button until
the menu comes up on screen and then
times out (5 - 10 seconds)
2. Immediately press 9, 8, 7, 6, Enter.
3. The set should now be in the service menu
mode. To access most of the features
selection 00 needs to be toggled from 0 to 1
4. After your adjustments 00 needs to be
toggled from 1 to 0
5.Feature 16 unlocks the auto-program (change to 0)

Zenith Concierge hotel tv wont work with my xbox 360

I doubt the TV even has a tuner if it is designed for a hotel. It may be a "dumb" receiver, nothing else. Do to channel 2 and then press the down arrow for channel, does it flip to 138 or AV1?
