Hello. I have a problem with an COMPAQ R3000h USP. When it is plugged in to the electricity it turns itself off after a few seconds after manual switching on and than turns itself on again for a couple of seconds. When it works on battery it works just fine. What may be the cause of such a malfunction? Thank you very much in advance for any help you can give me.

My first question is: When were the batteries last changed? If they haven't been changed in 3 or so years, then it's probably low batteries, meaning they are old and cannot take a charge anymore.
