Mitsubishi WS 48511 Blinking Green Power Light

Slinte, I too have the Blinking Green Light problem w/ my WS48511. I replaced all (7) 1000mfd capacitors on the DM power board and this initially fixed my problem; however, in less than a week the problem returned. Once again, I replaced all (7) capacitors--this time w/o success.

You mentioned repacing the "pico fuses" on the PC board! Which PC board contains the "pico fuses? on the runners???" Your assistance is greatly appreciated. [email protected]

Your model will have two picos mounted on the same board with the 7 capacitors they will look like resistors without the color bands they will be F9B01 and F9B00 check them for continuity.

Blinking green light
Replace the 7 capacitors on the DM board. That should solve the Issue. You can get the Mitsubishi WS48511 - WS65511 DM repair kit from www.tvrepairworld.com which has the upgraded replacement capacitors and the CD with repair instructions.

Bypass or Reset Mitsubishi WS-48511 HDTV V-Chip Password Lock

Would you like to bypass, defeat or reset your Mitsubishi HDTV Parental V-Chip parental lock? Have you forgotten your V-Chip passcode or password?

If you forget your V-Chip passcode, you can view the locked TV without entering your password.

When your passcode is requested, press the number 9 and the QV button on the original TV remote control at the same time. This process temporarily unlocks your TV.

When you enter the V-Chip Lock menu, pressing the number 9 and the QV button on the original TV remote control at the same time will delete your old password and prompt you to enter a new passcode. Pressing HOME at this time will cancel the entire passcode.

I have a Mitsubishi TV model WS-48511 it was working fine, I shut it off came back a few hours later & when I turn it on the green light will come on for about 3 seconds but turns back off. What can I...
Unplug it from the wall for about 5 minutes.
with it unplugged, Press and hold the power button for around 30 seconds.
This should discharge the unit and allow it to come back on.

Check the connection on the new Chips one of them is touching each other correct it and replace the fuse.

Would you like to bypass, defeat or reset your Mitsubishi HDTV Front Button lock?

If you have misplaced your remote control, and have engaged the Mitsubishi HDTV Front Button Lock, you can bypass the front button lock by pressing and holding the MENU button on the front panel for more than 8 seconds.

The dm board is the most likely cadidate judging from your description.Sometimes they can be repaired by replacing faulty surface mount capacitors on the dm board.The board itself is probably not available anymore.

Need replacement screen for Mits. WS-48511
The other site i am associated with has used screens for mitsubishi you just have to post the measurements of your screen top to bottom and side to side dont include the frame size as we allow 1/4 inch for fitting in the frame just need the size of the screen to the frame edge.
