Check out the manual from here - it has pictures.

It has instructions for plugging in the mac.
Basically, think of it as putting the mac at the end of a fancy USB cable - should be no different from the standard way of connecting your ipod with your mac

I got my iHome a little less then 2 months ago, I never had a problem with it and it worked fine. Just this morning I charged my iPod Touch with it and it worked fine, then I tried it again later and it...

If it is only two months old, put it in for repair under warranty.
The fact that two devices don't charge indicate it is probably faulty.
Before you do, first check all the obvious things.
Check the docking cradle is clear of fluff, paper or cat hair.
Check that any switches are in the on position.
Check that all cables are plugged in.
You may not have changed anything, but someone else may have.

Ipod player wont charge ipod

I probably have the same type charger / player that I also purchased from Wal Mart. If it plays your ipod it should also charge it. Make sure the lock button on the ipod is unlocked and it's turned off. If that does not work keep it unlocked and leave it on. On systems like we have that are not iHomes they sometimes have trouble figuring out what brand they need to charge.

Doesn't play on ihome says "not compatable"

It's a new ipod, right? And your docking station must of been made before the new nano toke the stores. You need to get a new docking station.

Remote won't control my 4th generation ipod nano

Hey I figured it out. When you bought the 4th generation ipod nano it came with it's own dock insert. It fits perfectly and fixes everything, including the remote issues. Now my only problem is I have a black ihome and a white insert :( Good luck!

Problem with ihome and ipod nano.

yes, unfortunately the ihome iH9 is not compatible with previous models of the ipod nano.

if you want a similar device, there are many other docking stations for the ipod that are ip0 that ARE compatible with the ipod nano 2G

iH85B is another ihome dock which is compatible with all ipods after the ipod mini (including the ipod nano 2G)

Ihome won't play ipod, even after resetting ipod

When I first got my ipod touch and my ihome I had no problems and then all of a sudden everything worked except for the ihome wouldn't play music. It charged properly and the alarm and clock worked fine just the music wouldn't play. So I assumed it was the ihome and took it back and exchanged it only to get home and have the exact same problem. So I reset my Ipod and it worked. To do it you have to hold the sleep button until the red slider appears. Slide your finger across it to turn off. Press and hold the sleep button until the apple comes on. Next I sync'ed and looke dfor an update. After all this I docked it and it worked.
