Hi,

Many times a freezer and/or refrigerator do not work right because of a dirty condenser coil...there are also many other things that can go wrong.

If you are hearing a clicking or buzzing then check out the last two tips.

If your refrigerator is running but warm, then...

Check out these tips that I wrote about that... it is a great place to start trouble shooting your unit...and something that you can do rather then calling a repair person to do a simple thing for you...

My bosch ksu 40600 keep switching on and off

It\'s called a short cycle. Most of the time, it means your compressor is about to fail cause your head pressure is to high and cuts out on the high pressure sensor, or your thermostat has issues or if your lucky, your low on freon and it cuts out on the low pressure switch. The unit when the compressor is not running, the pressure equalizes and runs around 30-70 psi, give or take a few. When the thermostat says it\'s too hot in the box, it turns the compressor on. When it does that the freon is pumped and as it gets the coil colder, the pressure drops and if there isn\'t enough freon in the system, then the pressure falls below the set point and the pressure switch shuts the compressor off. I wouldn\'t let it run like that as it\'s hard on the compressor and left running, will shorten the life of the compressor.

Our freezer is not de-frosting, there is a build up of ice

Sometimes ice will build up because of hummity. dont know where your at but best thing would be to get everything out and turn off . and defrost manually we used to do this on old friges with a hairdryer. it takes a while. when you start it back up make sure the seal seals good and if ice builds up again the your going to get to call repair man. Hvac and all compressors go through defrost mode. You may have so much ice it wont defrost, also a full freezer works more effecient than empty.

If the relay is ok the problem is the compressor which normally has a five year warranty.

Fans inside freezer will not turn - no cooling - compressor fan underneath is turning

The fans are controlled with a clixon that has a cut in at 5 degrees, and cut out at 20 degrees. If the unit is running and the fans are not comng on then I would have to say you are out of freon. But your condensor fan could be running and the compressor NOT be running which could be a problem with your compressor. Find out if your compressor is running by taking an amp draw. If compressor IS running then you are low on freon. If the compressor is running and your evaporator coil is cold and your fans AREN'T coming on then your clixon is bad.

Fridge freezer not working after power cut

If the fan motor is running at the compressor you should first replace the compressor start relay.
If the fan motor at the compressor is not running replace the defrost control.

My freezer's defrost systems runs constantly

i dont think so i would look at the compressor kicking out on thermal overload or a faulty thermostat thermostats have two settings cut in cut out your cut in could be bad and not turning the compressor on till the temp reaches melting temps now if your hearing a click buzz then you need to look at the compressor and make sure the compressor fan is running but its not a defrost promblem
