TomTom Go 910 comes on, then goes off

Sounds like a dying battery. There is not enough charge being maintained in the battery to complete the loading of the data. ChaNGE THE BATTERY

Connect your TomTom to the car charger and turn it on. Tap the lower right hand cornor where the sat. signal graph is. On the screen that comes up check to see if it is chargeing while connected to the car charger. It should say charging in the upper right hand cornor where it shows the battery status. If it isn't charging then you have either a bad pin on your windsheild mount or your charger is not working. If the charger is not working it may be as simple as replacing the fuse in the charger.

Tomtom910 won't turn on. I replaced the battery, charged it and now it won't turn on.

Try doing a reset. The reset hole is on the bottom of the TT 910. Use a paperclip to do the reset. Gently push the paperclip into the hole until you feel a click the hold it for 30 seconds. That should do the trick, unless the unit is not actually charging. The green light will come on but not charge because of a bad connection on the motherboard on the negative side.

Hi my tomtom 910 go wont switch on ], but when useing the charger the little green light lights up and will stil not switch on ive tries the hard resetting and does not work

I've had a similar problem on 2 TomTom 910s.
First, try holding in the reset button while holding the power switch down for 5 seconds.

If that doesn't work, let it charge for 12 hours and while it's still charging, hold the power switch down for 5 seconds.

It worked for me on both

Tom tom wont turn on.

turn device over and look for tiny reset button near to power connect strip. then use a blunt safety pin to reset,this should allow you to then turn it on,this works on 500 ,700 ,900 , 510 , 710 , 910 , hope this helps .

According to Kevin A who says, and thanks by the way (There is a reset button on the back at the top of the unit. It should be on the right side as you turn the unit around. Insert a paperclip or pin into this hole, and the unit should reset) at it works 100% because I tried this morning after being quoted £55 to have my GO910 fixed and now it works after the price of a paper clip. TomTom910 not charging

This is a common problem with the 910. Try putting an obstacle in the way of the wire to keep it on. Better still is to not use the home dock at all. Just plug the home charger in to the windscreen mount (device connected of course!) and charge it that way. You get a better charge and it will stay on.

Yes, you can.
I presume the charger has an USB connector.
5v and 2A are the correct figures for a Go910.

Hello, I have tha same problem i believe it to be the a defective battery and replacement is the only cure ! I am not brave enough to do it myself as another member so I am sending mine back to tom tom.

Ive got the same prob... have allready replace the battery and its better but it dont want to charge the battery full....
it show that the battery only have a small bit of life on it...
ive charge it for 12hours... please help...
