I am installing a new cd player in my 2006 dodge ram single cab truck, i have made the mistake of the cutting the stock wiring harness plug. Now i need to know what color codes are on these wires so i can hook it all up and crimp the wires together, any help would be great

Do yourself a HUGE favor. Drop $8 on a radio wiring harness connector. You wire it to the aftermarket radio while sitting at your kitchen table. When done, yank the factory radio and simply PLUG IN the new radio directly into the truck's wiring harness. Done! No cutting of your truck's wires, splicing, taping or hanging upside-down making connections. Plus, when it's time to sell the truck - you can pull out your radio and dump the factory radio back in the truck in no time.

You can find these at other stores locally too. Good luck!

I am replacing the radio and need the schematics, the harness is not labeled. It's an Infinity 4 speaker, casstte deck. Any idea where I can find?

don't cut the harness, best buy sells plug to plug harneses there about fifteen dollars, there very worth the money no wiring just plug into vehical harness strait to the back of any radio.

Sounds like you hooked the wires up wrong. Crutchfeild.com sells the direct plugs that go from the deck to the stock wiring harness. Its a good investment. But check your wires.

Wiring a seven way trailer plug to a 2004 dodge ram

The easiest thing to do, without having to cut a single wire is to purchase a trailer light kit, available at autozone or any well supplied auto parts store. They simply plug right in the the electrical harness behind the taillight assembly and takes about ten minutes with no guess work.....you'll never have to cut another wire or splice another wire again....just a thought.

Different wiring plugs

If it were me, I'd cut off the connectors and switch them, but I solder things every day. I don't think they make any adapter wiring harness for this problem.

If your installing a stock radio/cd player from another Dodge the wiring plug is the same and will fit.If your installing a aftermarket radio/cd player(JVC,Pioneer,etc)you will need to buy a adapter plug that wires up to the radio and is a direct fit to your factory wire harness,so your not cutting your wires.When you buy the adapter plug it comes with a wire diagram of which wire is what.Your aftermarket radio should have a diagram also,either on it or in the manual.Hope this helps you.

Change Dodge Ram tail lights from 2005 to new 2008. The wiring harness to change from the 05 to the updated 08 are different. Is there a adapting wire harness from dodge for this?

I just got a pair of 2008 tail light lens for my 2002 Dodge Ram 1500. If you look under the rear there is a connector that runs up to the tail light. This is a small harness. I believe that all you need to do is purchase the 2008 tail light harness. It looks like it will snap into the bottom of the stock harness and will fit the 2008 lenses.

Stereo removal

you will need to unscrew your dash and pull off the front plate of your dash, then you will need to unscrew the stock radio, then you will need to go ahead and pull out the adapter from the back of your radio. Next you will need to attach your adapter harness to your car harness and splice the color coded wires to the harness on your new cd player.After that, you will need to plug your antenna back into your new cd player, Note that some cd players will require an adapter, these can be found at circuit city or at your local car dealerships.-Shocker
