I have considerably extended the life of several of these Honeywell HEPA filter units by dripping light oil onto the fan shaft (Turn the unit so that the motor is below the fan, allowing the oil to run down into the shaft bearings).

"3-in-1" makes an inexpensive oil dispenser (including oil) having a pull-out tube that allows you to get close to the shaft thru the grillwork.

Is no place to oil it.They have closed type motors. You can just use a lubrificant typeWD40 to spray the mouving parts

I want to change filters. please help

Hi and welcome to DixYa, I am Kelly

The only two parts requiring any service are the activated carbon pre-filter and the HEPA filter. No tools are needed. To change either filter, disassemble the unit as shown.
1. Loosen the carrying handle by turning it counterclockwise and lift filter cage cover from unit.
2. Lift HEPA filter and activated carbon pre-filter from the base.
3. Remove the fasteners from the activated carbon pre-filter and remove it from the HEPA filter cartridge.
4. Replace filter(s) as needed, and discard used filters.
5. Wrap the activated carbon pre-filter around the HEPA filter cartridge and secure it with the fasteners provided

Honeywell Enviracaire Elite 300 problem. Light is not on. Seems like no power to system. No snapping or noises. No obvious bent fins or broken wires

If it was wired to the return air it will have a flag switch to let it know the blower is on, sometimes the flag comes off and it wont operate, sometimes it is wired directly to the computer board on terminals EAC that stands for electronic air cleaner and the board turns the air cleaner on when the blower is running, if you have a meter you can check voltage in both places to see which one is the problem. let me know. thanks wally

Hi my old Honeywell 13520 has acquired a periodic squeal. I am sure it is a motor issue. Any way to tune up these little motors? (Brushes, etc..)

Usually if the motor is squealing, the bearings are dry no lubrication and worn. If you have oil ports you can oil it and quiet it down for a while. Most motors now have self lubricated or oil impregnated bearings, which you can't lubricate. It costs as much for somebody to replace the bearings, as it does for a new motor. Most people replace the motor.

How to find the carbon filter to change it and how we should clean the hepa filter on our

You should contact Honeywell to find out their parts rep for your area. I don't think you will find these parts in the regular hardware store.

Use Google to find the Honeywell home page, and work from there.
