Did you try to root it and flash a corrupt flash? If not then I suggest that you Google "Factory Reset Droid 3" and follow those instructions to reset the phone to factory then input your google account information and contacts and such will re-sync. You will have to reload your apps and such so be warned. This is the only thing I have ever seen droids hang because they cannot finish booting because of corrupt image/flash.
Try to update to the latest android version. Your carrier might help you with this because it is so new. However if you dropped it

there must be an application creating that prob. most probably a third party software u have installed. u have to hard reset ur cell phone. consult user guide of ur cell for instructions
its a very tough task please dont try it with ur hand coz....it affect ur cell n u may b fail go to any shop they will charge u 80/- only n set it right
