Audio stops while watching DVD

My machine is well ventilated. Can it be fixed or is it cheaper to just buy a new receiver?

try different input sources(cd player-vcr)------if you have a problem of all input sources you will have a real problem with your receiver if this is with dvd only try another dvd only.
