Firstly, I'd suggest that you do a soft reset of your player. You will find the reset button next to the 'power on' button on the side of the player. Please hold the Reset button using a pen tip or other sharp object for 10 seconds. Now turn it on.
If that doesn't work, I'd suggest that you format your player or repair it using Philips songbird. Contents may be removed by using this function. So make sure to back up your contents.
Format:
On your computer desktop, double-click "My computer". Double-click on the MP3 player's icon. Right-click on the Internal Storage icon and then select "Format".
Repair:
Launch Songbird and then connect your player to your computer. Select "Repair" under the "Tools" menu. Follow the instructions given by the pop-up windows to perform the repair process.
Hope this works.
The answer is no good because in order to format or erase songs the player must be turned on. And THAT is the problem. It doesn't have the memory space to be turned on.
It doesn't work for me neither. I have a mac and I don't have the options to Format or Repair it. Can yo please give us another way?
