Big black circle and lines across my screen

I dont know how this occured and no-one in the house knows,but there is big black circle and lines across my screen. Is there any way this can be fixed? It,s only about two months old. I'm afraid it has been damaged somehow and no-one is owning up to it.Please help me if you can

Try plugging your monitor into another computer. If the lines still show up, then the problem is with the monitor, if not, it's a problem with your graphics card.
If it is your graphics card, then I suggest updating your graphics driver
If the problem is with your monitor, try taking it to a repair center and see what they say.

there is a smal black circle in the left od my screen!!

I bought a new Vista computer and it has a 24 inch monitor. This set-up is not even two weeks old yet and the other day, I noticed a thin, but noticable, BLACK line going across the whole screen. This line "lies ontop" anything showing on the monitor. I went to use the curser (mouse arrow) thinking I could move the line, but the line also is on top the curser/arrow. I do not know why or what this is,

I,m sending the monitor to emachines repair center.
