Hi! I have a laptop repair Satellite A305D-s6848. I turn the laptop fan spins, no display, it can not turn off power button. Can there be a reason for the bios? Please help Hdd drive is removed, RAM is smooth, the processor is ok

Hi.

That particular Toshiba laptop model doesn't have a number lock key. You have to hold down FN and then use the letter keys with numbers printed on them.

sounds like driver related problem, download this tool: Driver Update Software for XP Vista 7 8 update your drivers, and won't be any problem.

Try www.ebay.com they have lots of LCD screen for your laptop. I always find that ebay is cheaper than buying parts from the service center or local repair shop.

Unplug and take out the battery for a few.
Put battery back in, plug it back in and see if it will power back up.

TRY TO REMOVE THE BATTERY AND JUST PLUG THE CHARGER ON IT AND ON POWER. SWITCH IT ON. IF IT TURNS ON THEN YOU SHOULD KNOW THAT YOU NEED A NEW BATTERY OR IF IT DOES NOT, TAKE IT TO A COMPUTER SPECIALIST TO CHECK ANY HARDWARES THAT ARE NOT FUNCTIONING.

Connect an external monitor to your laptop. Start your laptop and use Fn+F5 buttons (or those appropiate to your model) to send the video signal out to the external monitor. If you do not get any image on the external monitor it means that most probably the mainboard is damaged (video card or even more). Expensive to fix or replace. Have it checked by a professional.

just update the BIOS it will help or else check with the physical connection if u find any damage contact the vendor..

I. Reinstall the driver:
Right click on My Computer (XP)/Computer (Vista) icon on the Desktop, click on Properties, the on Devices, then in the devices list look for your camera (you might have to open the branches to see it). You may find it under a branch named ‘Image Processing Devices’ or something similar (I don’t know the exact wording, because my system is not English).
Select your camera entry and then double click on it. Under the Driver tab, select Update driver and choose Reinstall Driver and then the second option ‘Look for Device Software in the Computer”.

II. If that doesn't solve your problem, download and install the most update driver from TOSHIBA support pages:

1. Start here: http://downloads.sourceforge.net/sevenzip/7z465.exe
2. Click on 'Download'
3. Select your product Category (Laptops), Family (Satellite) and Model (A305D-S6848) and press GO
4. Refine your search by selecting your computer system OS and by selecting 'Multimedia' in the Category list box.
