From what I have read elsewhere, the interrupt *may* have something to do with a thermostat circuit cutting out if the entry hot water is too high ( more than 145F) - it seems like a buggy safety feature i.e. the circuit board thinks that the water heater is overheating. The makers have apparently made changes to the control board to fix this bug but it costs serious $$$ to get a repairman in and buy the new board.
I prefer to use the reset code, and keep my water temp lower when using it.
Press andhold the "Heated Dry" button on your Kenmore dishwasher for fourseconds to unlock the dishwasher control panel. Press the"Heated Dry," "Normal Wash," "Heated Dry" and"Normal Wash" buttons one after the other, in fairly quicksuccession. Wait forthe dishwasher to run a short diagnostic test. Press the"Cancel/Drain" button at the end of the diagnostic test cycle. Thisshould reset the control panel on your Kenmore dishwasher.

There is no "Heated Dry" option on this model. The only options are Pots Pans, Normal Wash, Light Wash, Water Miser, Quick Rinse, Hi-Temp Wash, Sanatize, Air Dry, Delay Hours, and Start/Cancel. Any other suggestions?
