Sound like your pump may have a leak into the electric motor part of it through the shaft seal.
Or it could just have junk stopping up the lines or the pumps impeller. Hair often finds it's way into these things and screws them up!
If it's leaking there will be some water showing below the pump unit.....

Gfci overheat call for service

If you have any clamp on amperage meters, you need to see what the amperage draw on the circuit is when it is running. This will tell you if something is wrong with the pump circuit. It could be anything from a bad capacitor to an impeller obstruction.

Need to know where the reset button is on Kohler jacuzzi tub

The only place I'd expect to find a reset button is on the motor itself. That is, unless it's a ground fault problem, in which case it might be on another ground fault outlet somewhere in the house (possibly a bathroom or garage outlet) OR on the breaker - check the breaker box to see if the breaker's tripped or the GFE button needs to be reset.

Jacuzzi hot tub, Water is too hot. Heats until it trips the system. I have replaced the analog temperature control,

1) Safety question first
Why hasn't the GFCI tripped.
If your spa is not protected by ground fault., then you are at serious personal risk.

2) Replace the element.
http://waterheatertimer.org/How-to-test-water-heater-element.html

3) If element is cracked, it can continue heating to ground wire, causing runaway heating.
This applies to spas, and water heaters of all type.

Hello,I have an old jacuzzi vectra II hot tub (1988) 120 volt.the gfci on the unit trips every time the pump is on low speed with the thermostat calling for heat. there is no trip when there is no demand...

hi,

ok so when the pump is on high and the heater is running it doesent trip? you didnt say if it did. undo the heater leads so the pump is isolated completely. run the pump on the control centers gfci and see if it trips. if it does then try wiring directly - with an extension cord to a plug with a gfci in your house and see if it trips the gfci in your bathroom. if no trip inside house then bypass tubs gfci and run it with heater and pump through your bathroom gfci. if no trip then try and replace the tubs gfci, it gets pretty humid in the control center and gfci's have a semiconductor which which do fail after years of rough duty like that. if it trips the gfci in your house with the heater again it has a cracked heater element. craigslist always has old hot tubs and parts. you might have to buy a whole used old hot tub but that may be cheaper than a new heater box.

make sure there is power to the pump. Some of their model require you to be in the tub full of water before the pump will turn on.

Kohler Whirlpool tub motor problem. Turn motor on and trips GFI. It looks like the GFI is wired right and suggestions

Unplug tub from GFI, does GFI hold, plug something else into GFI to see if it holds under load. If all is ok then make sure you have a good ground from the motor to the GFI and the polarity is good. If 120 vac black wire to gold post, white wire to silver post and ground to green. Check proper connections, including polarity and ground at tub junction box and at pump motor it self.

When we press the "on" switch in or Kohler whirlpool tub it trips the wall switch. I changed the wall plug and it still trips when trying to turn it on. It has always worked fine. Any suggestions..

Remove the GFCI WALL OUTLET and try connecting those wires together blk/blk..wht 2 wht...ground to ground and then see if tub will stay on, if not suggest put back together and call qulified whirl pool tech to find short in pump motor.
