The sound on my tv just went blank. It was working fine earlier in the day . Later on when it was powered up--nothing but silence. I've tried the other inputs and different devices with the same results. I am not a very technical person, especially with TVs and am hoping it is something simple like a blown fuse. Any chance?
For starters, remove the back cover and turn on the TV. You should see 8 green LEDs on the circuit board.
You may have lost power for the audio amplifiers.
