My htc touch is not responding when i touch the screen and keeps asking me if i want to turn the handset off why?

try to unplug lcd and touch from board and plug again, maybe this solve the problem, if persist you need to change it buying new one. (to dissambl and ressembly see videos on you tube), i think this will help you to solve the problem, Don't forget rate my answer.

Your touch pad need to be replaced. I had the same problem and order a complete face lift which includes the touch pad from ebay. It was included aslo the special tools needed to remove the screws. There many videos showing how to desasemble the phone in youtube, just search with your model and you will find videos showing all the dtails how.
Please not that the problem is with touch pad which is the one you touch directly on it, is only vinil cover and is working as a keyboard. Under touch pad is located the lcd display of the phone which other part .

I can input the numeric code for my password but when I press the unlock key it is not responding..my phone is HTC HD2 touch

hi, its a error in the phone, I had this happen to mine. You will most likely have to sent it away for repair. HI,

The only way to fix this problem is to contact your service provider only they can help you fix it because there are particular settings which you need in order to use the GPRS(Internet) feature.
Just contact them and ask them to give you a new ip address for your phone no.

The touch pad is dead...it's a hardware issue...go to the vendor or workshop...within a year it is replaced for free.Good luck.

i did all things described to get the screen workin,pressed the red n green buttons simultaneously n with the friggin stylus i pressed the reset button underneath, pulled the battery out a coupla million timesn put it in, but it jus doesnt unlock, the touchscreen aint workin, i can call, mssag or do anything except recieve calls, Arpan
