There may be a senor that detects when the door isn't closed. It may be failing or mounted in a bracket coming loose. I had one that the bracket broke and sometimes it would start and other times it wouldn't. I rigged a new bracket and it works fine. You could also disable the sensor by shorting it, but you might have water leak out some day.
You will need to open the case to access the sensor.

Sud= The unit has sensed there is too many suds in the unit it will
flush and pump out for 5 min and restart on its own..This is caused by
too much soap use..

If too much detergent was used:
—Run the unit through a Rinse/Spin cycle.
—Run a Normal cycle without adding any detergent.
This should clear the unit of the excess detergent.
1. Check the drain hose and make sure it is not plugged
or kinked.
2. Unplug washer or disconnect power.
3. Check wire harness connections to the drain pump,
pressure switch, and Central Control Unit (CCU).
4. Check/clean drain pump filter of foreign objects.
5. Plug in washer or reconnect power.
6. Check drain pump.
7. Check the pressure switch.
8. Verify CCU operation by running a Diagnostic test or any
cycle.

Switch on the washer. Press and hold "end of cycle" button for 3 seconds, on the right side
of panel. This is the child lock feature, do it again & it locks.
