I have the same unit. It does come with a remote. The original remote is pretty much impossible to find. But also there are some companies that sell remotes for it. Google Pioneer VSX403 remote replacement. I have yet to get a remote :D Good Luck.
I have exaclty the same problem. DVD into comp in 1, and my Homecast HT8000 into comp in 2 on my D912.
The dvd gets a picture.
The TV does not.
Looking at the settings I have "Component video Input" set correctly.
I'll add that when I do switch from DVD to TV, I get a scrabled vision of what is on TV for about half a second befoe the TV itself says "No, I can't display that" and gives me the blue screen of 'no signal'
If your tv and reciever are the same brand then it is posible that the IR for your reviever needs to be replaced.or you are not switching the button thst belongs to the sets.if you are using a universal remote then you have to push the button that belongs to the set you want to operate, good luck.
