This error indicates that the paper path motor stalled. Clear the paper jam, power off the printer for 30 seconds and then turn it back on.

Here's how to clear a paper jam from Xerox website, depending on the location of the paper jam: http://www.support.xerox.com/support/phaser-8560mfp/support/enus.html?operatingSystem=win7x64&fileLanguage=en

There was a power outage, and the red light on the printer keeps flashing but it won't print

Click on start and type services.msc and hit enter. Then scroll down till you see print spooler, right click it and say stop, count to 5 and right click it again and say run.
If this doesn't fix it try turning the power off on the printer and unplugging it and waiting 30 seconds then reverse the steps, plug back in and turn it back on.

A power outage interrupted printing a large document. Now I can't get the printer working again. The "error" light won't go off and allow me to print any more documents.

Try unplugging your printer power, waiting 2 minutes, and then plugging it back in. If that doesn't work, repeat and restart your computer while your printer is unplugged.

Power outage and now my brother HL-5250DN Laser printer won't work. Removed it and plugged back in. It installed automatically but won't print. Using Win 7

Your printer may have experienced damage to electronic components with the outage, especially if due to a lightning strike causing the outage. You should have a shop troubleshoot and decide if it will need a new board, such as a formatter/logic board.

Lost connectivity after power outage

If this is a printer WITHOUT WiFi or bluetooth - and you have it connected to another computer (Print Server) via a USB cable - you need to make sure you can see that computer from the other computer you are printing from. Use the network explorer - if you can see the computer and the printer you should be able to print to it.

Sometimes, it may be secured with a password. I found if I can map a shared drive from my laptop to my print server then I can print again. So see if you can see the printer and printer server computer from the other computer. If so you may need to add that printer again to you printer list.

The office staff can not print but we can fax. we had a power outage before all of this happened.

Try re installed printer, its software and drivers see if that helps. Also check fuses in plugs for the printer it may have blown.

Power outage caused printhead error on HP 1055 CM design jet

turn off the printer, remove your jetdirect card(nic) sounds like your local tech doesn't know his **** from a hole in the wall. this should resolve your loop problem, if not then your main pca have been popped by the power outage. good luck.

Power went out and back on; now printer won't print

I had the same problem after a resent power outage. Here's what fixed mine.

Turn the power switch off.
Wait a 15-20 seconds
While holding the button on the front panel down turn the power switch on.
After the drum light comes on release the button wait then press the button again.
Turn the machine off then back on again and you should be back in business.

To prevent the problem in the future if you are not using the printer turn it off and if the power goes off while printing get the printer turned off before the power comes back.
