Set the camera's shooting mode to one of the two remote modes. The quick-response remote mode fires the shutter when you push the button on the remote. The delayed remote mode gives you two seconds to hide the remote behind your back before firing the shutter. Now point the remote at the infrared sensor on the front of the camera and push the button. If the camera fires, then everything is working.
You might also try wiping both the infrared sensor on the camera and the emitter on the remote with a soft clean cloth.
make sure the sensor bar is plugged in and oriented properly. If thats all ok I would be inclined to believe its the sensor bar, but you might try nintendo customer support before you go out and buy one.
if the batteries are down change them if it still doesnt work then walk to your console at the left of where to put the disc open the cover and open the cover in where you put the remote batteries and then press sync in the wii remote and wii console just click them dont keep pushing the for more that 10 seconds or everything that is on will turn of except the wii it may not work if it doesnt ask the question for me helper9 that it still doesnt work
Try unplugging the set for 12 to 24 hours. if that does not work, theres a problem in the remote sensor circuit or the microprocessor circuit. its going to need a pro to fix it as it meeds trouble shooting.
