Check to see whether 4 stroke is written on engine. If this is the case, regular gas can be used.

Hi and welcome to FixYa, I am Kelly.

It uses Unleaded fuel
and 30 WT SAE Oil. You can use either Detergent or non-detergent 30 WT Oil.

Just make sure the oil level is full but NOT over serviced berfore starting.

Thanks for choosing FixYa.

I want to know if my weed eater sb180bv blower/vac is 2cycle or 4cycle

Most weed eater products are two cycle. if you have to mix oil with the gas they are two cycle. If there is no place to add the oil like a four cycle then its two cycle. Do not run a two cycle engine without adding oil to the gas or you will burn it out fast

Pls HELP What gas/oil mixture for homelite 2006 UT20026 & 1999 UT20724 both r Straight shaft Weed eaters, Sam

Just buy and use a good multi-mix oil. I have been both using and selling a Pro-mix that when mixed with fuel can be use any 2 cycle 16-1 to 50-1 mixes. Saves a lot time hunting for different mix containers. Other than it is 40-1.

Oil petrol mixture for Rockwell 26cc weedeater

Two cycle engines run on a mixture of gasoline and oil. Each engine type is designed to run on a specific gas-to-oil mix ratio.
IMPORTANT: Use only oil that is labeled for use in "Two-cycle" or "Two-stroke" engines. Home Depot and other stores now have "premixed fuel" of gas and 2 cycle oil.
To mix two-cycle fuel, start by putting correct amount of oil in gas can. Then slowly add correct amount of gasoline. Do not try to mix gas and oil directly in gas tank of equipment.

IMPORTANT: Do not use any fuel that is over 30 days old. Do not mix more fuel than you are likely to use in a month. Old fuel can gum carburetors and prevent starting. Always use fresh fuel.

The chart below shows correct amount of oil per gallon that each mixing ratio requires. Expect that yours will be between 32 gas to1 oil and 50 to 1. 32:1 and 50:1 are most popular.
Ratio GAS:OIL UNITED STATES OIL per 1 U.S. GALLON Gasoline
(128 oz.)
*INTERNATIONAL OIL per 1 IMPERIAL GALLON Gasoline
(160 oz.)
*INTERNATIONAL OIL per 1 LITER Gasoline
(metric)
32:1 4 oz. 5 oz. 31.25 mL 40:1 3.2 oz. 4 oz. 25 mL 50:1 2.6 oz. 3.2 oz. 20 mL

What type of gas to use in a craftsman edger 358.773110

FUELING ENGINE This engine is certified to operate on unleaded gasoline. Before operation, gasoline must be mixed with a good quality 2-cycle air*cooled engine oil. We recommend Craftsman brand oil. Mix gasoline and oil at a ratio of 40:1 (A 40:1 ratio is obtained by mixing 3.2 ounces of oil with 1 gallon of unleaded gasoline). DO NOT use automotive oil or boat oil. These oils will cause engine damage. When mixing fuel, follow instructions printed on container. Once oil is added to gasoline, shake container momentarily to assure that the fuel is thoroughly mixed. Always read and follow the safety rules relating to fuel before fueling your unit.

What petrol mix does it use, and what type of oil

Depends on what type of saw it is some very new ones use 50:1 oil fuel mixture older ones use 25:1 mix and the larger the bore or engine capicity you should probably use a little more oil to protect it, Mose saws will give the oil fuel ratio on the gas cap or in the owners manual

Fuel and two stroke mix pls oil type for chain pls

For almost all modern two-stroke engines, a 50-to-1 mixture is recommended. That requires about 2 1/2 oz. oil for every gallon of gasoline.
  • Use only two-cycle oil for your mixture. This oil is made especially for these engines and can be purchased at gas stations, hardware stores or any other place where you buy regular motor oil.

WHAT TYPE OF FUEL, STRAIGHT OR OIL/FUEL MIX & WHAT PROPORTIONS ?

Hello,

Determine if your engine is a two-stroke or a four-stroke. Check the gas tank on your lawnmower or the owner's manual to determine what type of engine you have.

Read the label of your two-stroke oil. Follow the directions on the package to ensure the right mix.
Measure and pour the gasoline in to the empty gas can.

Add four ounces of two-stroke oil per each gallon of gas.

Replace the cap on the gas can and shake the oil and gas to mix. Add fuel to your engine.

Take care.

I have a techumseh snow blower 5.5 engine. I need to know what type of fuel it needs. It says on the outside something about a 50:1 oil gas mix and lists some types of oils. Where can I get these oils,...

go to your hardware store and ask for some 2 cycle 50:1 oil, mix that with a gallon of gas and you're good to go. Before you mix, make sure that you read the oil container for it's recommendations! You can purchase a small container of oil that is all measured for 1 gallon of gas

Do it use mixed gas and what type of oil

Fuel/Oil Mixture
  1. Use a quality 2 cycle oil and mix it to the OIL supplier's recommended ratio. Today I use Stihl 2 cycle oil mixed @ 50:1 in a Pioneer that I purchased new in 1980. There are no gouges or scratches on the piston or cylinder and I have no carbon build up on the piston top. The manual (on stone tablets) recommends 24:1. Over the years the mixture has leaned from 24:1 (Saw Recommendation) to 28:1 (Lawn boy mower recommendation) to 32:1 (Oil provider 8oz/2gal - used for many years) and finally the last 5 (±) years 50:1 (Stihl 2.6oz/1gal)
  2. Today most gas in the US of A contains ethanol; not good with chainsaws. Mix what you expect to use within a few months. Anything over 6 months old use up in a 4 cycle engine. HTH
