Please note that this pen drive has been discontinued. Hence, there are no publically available drivers. Please log an issue with Kingston using the below address:
Gave up. All worked fine on my desktop XP (the .avi is focused less than crisply), but I also need it to work on my traveling Thinkpad Win98.
Dozens of people who bought this camera report on the Internet missing the driver necessary, mostly for XP. The camera has disappeared from the Internet and can't be googled ("Innovage 3-function 2.1 migapixel digital camera") - all we get now is "mini" and keychain. Evidently the manufacturer batches a product and, when wholesaled out, drops all evidence it ever existed, and certainly support. They haven't even provided a site from which to download Win98 drivers.
It's a good camera at a great price, quite advanced over the small digicams I first tried a few years ago to stand in for an old Kodak brownie, so I'm disappointed to have to take it back to Walgreens - there are few if any similar cameras avail for $30 or less. Guess I'll have to use my old 35mm for a while more until sanity returns to the digicam world. Maybe 2 of 5 cameras ($50-$100) are listed as suitable for Win98, but how to know they have the right drivers, or were evben tested on a Win98 config described?
Also, I'm not clear what drivers are wanted - one for the USB, or one for the device, or both? Shouldn't the USB driver be generalized, and the camera driver be specific for the device features (for example, this camera makes it's photos avail for download from a folder it creates when the camera is detected).
1 Was it working before?
2. Is the bluetooth compatible with Win98? Does it meet the bluetooth's minimum requirements?
3. Is your computer an old computer? Maybe your computer's USB ports are USB 1.0 and the 4Gb USB is USB2.0. This I believe will be incompatibile.
4. Try those USB adapters at a different computer to further isolate your problem.
