I have lost the measuring cup for rice - what is the ratio of white rice to water? what is the ratio of brown rice to water?how much rice should i use for each water level - 12, 3,4,5,6,7,8.3 how much

I list the measuring cup for the ARC-930 rice cooker. I would like to know the ratios for the white and brown rice.

My dear husband threw out my direction booklet. I've not ever used my steamer for rice. How do I cook white rice in my hitachi rd5083 steamer?

The Japanese measuring cup size of 200 ml works fine for my Hitachi RD-5083 and likely will work for most rice cookers. The standard US cup is 237 ml.

Ah. Sorry. The numbers on the side of your rice cooker are the water fill line for that many 200 ml *JAPANESE* cups of rice. You add the rice first then the water to the fill line.

I use the same measurements that are on the package in my rice cooker and watch it. I cook so many different types of rice, that that seems the best. It always works fine. A little extra moisture makes the rice "stickier" and vice versa.
