Control board needs to be replaced. Many times the control boards go bad because of a spike in the electrical grid cause by a brown out, lightening strike or even a surge in the power. After the control board is replaced... I suggest using a surge protector on all of your electronic devices including the washing machine.

If you were indeed talking about the Stentura 8000, and not the computer, and if your writer boots up ok but gets stuck at "recovering files" **when you try to start writing**, try verifying that the floppy is good (e.g. looking at it via a computer)- it may just be that the floppy got fried in the power surge. You can try using a fresh floppy (check in Windows/etc to make sure, first). There are many floppy-recovery programs out there on the web, and that'll at least get your Stentura sane again. Just dealt with this a few minutes ago, and that's all it turned out to be...but after 3 months, you've probably long since found your own solution.

The TV Guide feature is active even when the zip code is set to all 0s so if you have an over the air antenna attached the TV will look for the TV Guide info and if it can not find it because of a weak signal or the chanel it is tuned to does not carry that information the TV thinks that tuner does not work which triggers the 12 flashes. Also on power up the gray box with the waring message "Plasma Display Starting Up, Please Wait" appears and the screen is blank.

You have something caught in your pump and the machine can not continue on in the cycle. You will have to get the bottom panel off and remove what ever is obstruction you pump by removing the screen.
