We have the hapmton bay 52 in cameron II plus in chrome and blue neon fan. Is there a different light fixture that can be attached instead the neon light fixture? The fan still works great, but we dont think the neon gives off enough light to light the room.

Contact "King of Fans" (kingoffans.com) in Ft. Lauderdale at 800-330-3267. They made or make Hampton Bay fans. I just ordered an arm for mine. Have your UPC number handy.

Cannot find cameron ii plus single light fixture model 483 112

I agree with Home Depot, I haven't tried calling King of Fans before. I'll have to give that a whirl!
I also found this link below that has a replacement kit, they don't have the light kit though. Maybe you could ask them to add it:

No wiring diagram with fan ( hampton bay three speed fan with light)

white to white, black to black, blue to red, & green to ground.
If you don't have a second hot house wire(red), then put black & blue from fan to house black.

Contact home depot. They sell hampton bay and should be able to order you a shade if it is still available.

Change light

i just put fluorescent lights in two of these fans. it just takes a little fabbing and its done and simple.

Go to home depot and buy a lithonia lighting 11" low profile round light model# FM22 ACLR LP.

tools:
drill
rotozip or file
wire strippers
crescent wrench
screwdriver(phillips)

you can take the neons and the power supply off of the fan base but be sure to save all the screws, you will need them later. the ballast in the light will fit in the chrome base on the fan but you have to shave one of the bolt holes down first for it to fit (be sure not to cut the ones that the bolts go through). you do not need the green ground wire from the new light.

Next drill out the rivets from the bulb brackets on the new light base. now you can take the bulb and place it on the fan backing plate and get your bulb brackets and mark where you will mount them. then drill holes for them (but make sure the holes are for the screws that you saved earlier because you will reuse them for the light brackets). Be sure to mount the bulb as center as possible.

now once you have fabbed everything put the assembly up to the fan and pull the wires down through the ballast and through the center tassle bolt and wire it up. the bulb is an 8" bulb and thats all that will fit. home depot sells phillips 8" bulbs in several different brightnesess.

this picture was taken on my phone so it isn't that great. but the light really brightens it up.

Blue light problem.

Should be able to take the light apart and replace just the socket for the light or maybe just check the wiring, maybe there is a lose wire causing the light not to work

Cameron II Plus

The wiring, concealed under the ceiling trim needs to be corrected; there will be at least three leads, one for the fan motor, another for the lights and a 3rd wire that is the neutral for both.
There should be an additional (4th) lead that is connected to the body of the fixture that will be green or green and yellow; this one is for safety and carries no current unless a fault in the lamp wiring or the motor occurs.
I believe that Hampton is a Home Depot brand name but don't depend on them for help.
