I have a epson Picturemate personal photo lab printer that I purchased a couple of years ago. all the mechanical parts work fine but when the printed picture comes out it only prints half of the picture and that part is in black and white. I replaced the ink with a brand new cartridge but that did not fix the problem. I got one answer from an expert but he used technical language that I could not understand. The printer is not connected to my computer.

Try to do complete reinstallation. This problem sometimes happen when your computer installed an icompatible Windows update. It affected the driver of the printer somehow. Give this one a try.

>Uninstall all printer software and drivers related to Epson then reboot your computer.
>Now download the latest driver version of your printer by going to Epson download site. Just type the exact model of your printer. Click HERE for the driver downloads. Select the appropriate Operating System. (XP, Vista, Win 7 or Mac OS)
>Reboot the computer after reinstalling the latest driver and check if you can print again.

If your printer is a network printer, just make sure to enter the corrent network settings of your router especially if its a wireless printer.
