LaserJet M2727nf initializes. Will print one page. Seems to "reboot" itself and gets stuck in the initialization process. I am left with the HP Logo being displayed with a couple of arrows in the display window and the unit will not respond to any key presses on the machine itself. At that point, I have to power down the printer again during which process it will again print one test page. I have tried multiple power supplies (cords, and wall vs. power strip) and also three different high speed usb printer cables. No change in printer performance. The printer, which is now 17 months old, has had less than 500 pages printed on it. I don't do that much printing. Any thoughts? Thanks Fred

Step 2 of the Power On sequence is to initialize the CPU which is found on the ECU board.
Find someone who is trained to replace the board.

While your printer is off. Hold the > & Cancel buttons together, then switch on the the printer while holding these buttons. When you receive a message that says "Permanent Storage Init" release the buttons and let the printer do its thing.
Hope this solves your problem.

Procedure Cold Reset

1. Turn off the product.
2. Simultaneously press and hold the Cancel button and the right arrow button (> ), and then turn on
the product.
3. Wait until the message Permanent storage init. appears, and then release the Cancel and right
arrow buttons.
When the NVRAM initialization process has been completed, the device control panel shows the
Ready message.
Let me know if this works. it should bring the printer back to factory settings.

If you mean that the unit does not complete initialization then it means that the formatter is likely junk. The good news is this:

Any HP M2727 manufactured before January 1, 2010 is covered by a service advisory that will get the printer repaired at no charge. You need to contact HP and get a case number or contact an authorized HP service partner. Be insistent, I have seen some service partners who have no idea that this service advisory exists.

This sounds like a Scanner/Flatbed Problem. This series of printers have a known problem with this component. The scanner is failing to initialize itself. The scanner does need to be changed by an Authorized HP Warranty Repair Facility. It is possible that it may be covered under an HP Extended Warranty program. See repair information VIA posted Link.

Hi there your PC driver is corrupt.Install the PC driver & Then try.

1. disconnect it from any other devices.
2. turn the printer off and unplug it.
3. plug it back in and try again.

First, power the printer off, wait for about 30secs and power on. If problem persist replace the scanner.
