At the bottom it says "please try this code instead" what does that mean, what code? I don't have an Email account, that is what i am trying to get!

The code you are seeing is a Captcha. It is a words or codes used by other sites like Yahoo! who's offering free registration on their sites.

They use CAPTCHAs to try to prevent spammers from using bots to generate hundreds of spam mail accounts.

Entering CAPTCHA code on the box will separate a human user from a program bots.

It is alright to use it to register on Yahoo! Mail. Yahoo! may have no time to verify the information you enter on your identification. Through this CAPTCHA, you are already verified.

Cindee, make sure you type your email address correctly and also the password. Check for capital letters.

If your first attempt to sign in failed, it will bring you to a page where your user id is shown and there is a code shown also that you will need to type in the box to start verifications with your account.

It is alright, it is a Captcha word that Yahoo used to verify you as human user and not a spam bot.
