SOURCE: Our church received a Bloomfield Koffee King model

Hi, Get 2 pots place one under the spray head with the filter cone in....now fill the other coffee pot and start to pour water through the lid top front...keep pouring water through (about two and a half pots) until water starts to pour through the cone....now the tank is full plug her in and turn on the power switch at the back and also the front if there is one....place filter in cone..put coffee in filter...pot on burner...wait about 25 minutes until water in tank is hot...when light on front comes on pour another pot of cold water through the top and you will get a pot of hot coffee in bottom....I also think this machine can be hard wired into water main....get plummer to hook up...follow same procedure but instead of pouring water through top for coffee..hit brew switch. if it poors too much of too little you will find a timer in the machine you can adjust to allow more or less water...hope this helps.

SOURCE: Bloomfield 3-pot coffee maker won't brew

These macines have an internal water heater that should be clened periodicly (monthly per manufacturers instructions but I do it quarterly/semianually/when it gets noisy :) ). The machine will have to be disasembled to do this since the tank will have to be flushed when you do this to get the chemicals out of it (vs running a pot of vinegar through your Mr. Coffee machine at home), Depending on how much scale has built up in the tank this could take several cleaninings. Scale deposits can over time impair/damage the heater or thermostat but replacement parts are cheaper than a new machine and the machine will outlast and outperform a standard coffee maker. BTW, my 8572 3 burner was built in 1972, I bought it at a flee market for $25 10 years ago put $100 in parts to get the push to brew and hot water on tap working again and it made two great pots of coffee this morning.

SOURCE: Bloomfield 8571 Coffee Maker Problem

are yu cleaning it regularly? Scale build up in the tank will cause the heater to become less effective and the thermostat to read the water temperature incorrectly

When I pour water through it doesn't come out hot--unit doesn't seem to be heating the water

First check the hi-limit thermostat (90percent of the time this is the problem)...If that is the problem the part number is 2T-47499. Next check the Element for continuity with an ohm meter, if it is bad you will need to order a new one. Be sure to check the wattage, Some of the 120v brewers have a 1500w element and some have an 1800w element . Either can be used on the 120v machine. The 1800 watt element is a bit faster in heating. If you have the 220/240v machine you will have to order a "coil" shaped element. That is a 3500w element. There is a third problem possible and that is the Thermostat. The capilary tube could be broken (happens in the lime/rust/sulpher belt of the midwest)..If you know how to use an ohm meter you can find the problem quickly. I have a video on checking a Bunnomatic temperature, heater and hi-limit circuit, maybe it will help. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tNVZkYPaZko

Why is my bloomfield 8571 leaking?

Remove the top panel and check for scale on the liquid level probe. Remember to unplug the machine first.

Water won't heat up in unit.

Check the hi-limit thermostat or the inline fuse if your model has on installed.
