Transfer mp3 files through Sonic Stage software in Sony NW-E307 mp3 player to get sound in its earphones You can install Sonic Stage software from cd supplied with player or click Sony Support to download it by selecting OS in your computer in drop down list on that page.
If you have a song that will NOT erase, remove all the songs you have on the unit you wish to save. Disconnect from the computer and Format the unit using the built in menu. Reconnect to the computer and reload all your songs. The unit should now be 'pristine'. An occasional format of an MP3 player is always a good idea. It fixes all kinds of weird problems. Once every six months should be often enough.
You need to install SonicStage software in your computer to upload songs in NW-E307 mp3 player.
Click Sony Support to download SonicStage software files.

Does the device turn on when connected to the computer? If so, press RESET button on your device and then try again. If the problem continues, you may want to go to the Sony Support Center and download the firmware software for your device.
