You need to have the Data Cable for this. If you have the cable download this update utility. Download, install and run the application. Follow the one screen instructions to update your firmware. At one stage the software may prompt you that your firmware is up-to-date, proceed anyway? At that point you have to force it to reprogram.

Ok got a experia sonny ericson from roger and every thing is working fine but wene i make a call now my screen goes all blackk i touche eny botons dont screen don comm back on but the personne is still on the line i cant talk with them but afther the call is done done phone screen is still black i have to remove my batterie and put it back in and restart the phone afther every phone call i answer or make !!plzzzz help wit this thank you in advance !!!
When i turn on my x10, its keep vibrating and the screen appear nothing...its stop vibrating until i remove the battery...what is the problem?...plz anyone help me...

If you want to set an mp3 or "Custom" tone for your "Notifications" you can dowload an app or...
Connect your X10 to your computer. Pull down the usb notification in top left of screen and mount sd card.
Then go into your phone menu via "My Computer" and either go into media/audio/notifications or create the folders yourself. Remember they must be lower case letters.
Then all you have to do is copy your tone into the "notifications" folder disconnect your phone from your pc and go into "Settings" "Sound and Display" "Notification ringtone" and it should now be in your list with the preset standard tones.

Yes- first thing, remove the battery. Second thing, tilt it on its side so the water drains out. Leave it alone for at least 48 hours. If it is salvageable, it should work once it's dried out
