Won't boot up

I added a mem board to my D945GTP motherboard and now when I turn on the computer it tells me there is no signal to the monitor. Exchanged monitor and plugs to try again but same results. Been told the motherboard went out. Is this my problem? llllll

We cannot assume that your motherboard is dead, try these: Unplug computer power cable from the socket outlet.

First, check to be sure the power supply is switched to 120 V.
If it is, then do a minimum system configuration test. Turn off the ON/OFF switch on the PS back panel, and disconnect the cord. You don't want to work on the motherboard (MB) with standby power applied.
Disconnect all components from the motherboard (including floppy, CD, hard drive). Leave the power connector attached to the hard drive, as the power supply has a minimum load requirement (never run a switching supply without a load, unless it is designed to do so -- and few are). Remove the power connector from the Motherboard, then reinsert it (potential for bad contact in control circuit).
Remove the RAM, reinsert one stick (going for a minimal configuration).
Remove all PCI boards and AGP. The motherboard should be able to turn on and beep an error code even without RAM and video.
Plug the PS back in, turn on the back panel switch, and use your screwdriver to short the power button pins (ATX type of supply).
Double check which pins are the power switch pins in the documentation, as front panel attachment point functions are usually not obvious, and are easily mis-wired since the connectors come off so easily during maintenance.
When you touch the pins, the CPU fan should instantly start turning, and shortly thereafter, the MB should beep an error code.
If not, check the mounting for the MB. Some cases use a U shaped rectangular snap in receptacle for MB mounting screws. These commonly become bent or twisted, and can short out nearby traces sometimes resulting in dead board symptoms.
If the fan didn't start turning when expected, you probably want to repeat this minimum configuration test with the motherboard out of the box.
Put it on an insulated surface (e.g. pink packing foam or cardboard), being careful about electrostatic discharge (ESD) (however, my bet is ESD damage that disables a motherboard is rare).
Although I haven't seen it, your motherboard may require the video card to be plugged in to turn on.
I doubt this, though, as there is enough housekeeping to do before checking for the video card that the fan should have time to start to spin.
If it still isn't working, try the other memory stick, or remove all memory.
Double check all connections before applying power!

Is your computer beeps while it starts - replace the ram and check with other ram for it bus speed - you can find it speed on a small sticker if they are same then install

Then you remove CMOS jumper to clear also same time unplug the power cable (20-24pin) wait for some seconds then place it back and also set the bios CMOS jumper to normal.

Restart the pc

We did most of the problem solver solutions then if also the problem exists may be you some wires you removed or get loose or may be you damaged the ram slot or ram check those
things

What is manual for Intel D945GTP?

Hello, Tymofii -

Apparently the Intel D945GTP is a motherboard for a computer.

I have not found a manual for that motherboard. Instead, I found technical product specifications for it:
https://www.intel.com/content/dam/support/us/en/documents/boardsandkits/desktop-boards/945/D945GTP/D945GTP_TechProdSpec.pdf

It is a PDF document, so you will need Adobe Acrobat Reader software (free). If you choose to download and save the PDF document to your computer, I suggest you give the document a file name you can find again easily . . . something like: Intel D945GTP Tech Specs .

Best wishes.

Lx6200-01 has a blinking blue light on power up and monitors are displaying "no signal"

We will assume the monitor you are using is ok. Check these items (in no particular order):
1. Bad RAM - remove and re-seat each module (you can take each one out and try to re-boot to see if it makes any difference)
2. Short circuit, usually between motherboard and case
3. Bad monitor cable (make sure it's not loose at either end)
4. Incorrect overclock setting
5. Bad display adapter (unless you added one, I believe this mother board has integrated video) - you can try adding an external video card if you have an open slot and and the PSU can take it.
6. Bad motherboard
7. CMOS battery - try replacing it, especially if it is over 6 years old
8. Overheating due to dirt collection inside - blow it out with canned air including the power supply unit (PSU)
9. Virus - not too likely

The motherboard starts up with fans spinning but monitor gets no signal and cant turn off motherboard

If your fans power up but you see no image, then your computer has failed its startup test.
Now you have to find out what the problem is.
Start by opening the case and disconnecting everything but the keyboard, CPU, memory, and video. Now try to start it. If you still have no signal, it might be your video card if the monitor shows a message telling you there is no signal. Memory could also be a problem.
If you get a message telling you there is no boot device, then turn the computer off (push in the switch for about 7 seconds) and connect the hard drive. Now try to boot. If it works, then suspect the CD drive.
If after doing all this you still get no signal no matter what you do, and if the video is part of the motherboard, you're probably looking at a new motherboard.

Installed the board, scren displays message no signal and stays black. no peeps or beeps. usb has power so do drives and signal leds

Check the cable between your monitor and computer. If this is a new install and you have added a graphics card, you will need to boot up once using the on-board VGA. Doing so will allow you to turn off the on-board VGA in the BIOS. Then you can shut down and move the monitor cable to the new graphics card and reboot.

Monitor and keyboard won't turn on

A couple of things here:

1) The flashing light and signal message indicate that the monitor is functioning but is not receiving a signal from the computer.

2) The memory that you added is liklely to be incompatible with the computer itself and is preventing the system from booting. The computer will perform a selftest when powered on. Normally when there is a memory issue, the unit will beep. In some cases, there will be no action.

Remove the added memory and attempt to boot the system. If it starts up OK, then the memory you have added is the problem.

Update this if you require additional assistance.

Thanks,
Dan

Computer not booting up

Could be one of two things:

1. Signal cable from monitor isn't hooked up. (either monitor end or computer case end)

2. Video card in the computer is damaged and not putting out signal. This is unlikely though as usually this will trip the motherboard into beeping when you turn the computer is turned on.

Won't boot up

and that situation plenty of problems may occur. it must the memory card, video card or the processor. but i think the problem of yours is the video card. try to insert the wire correctly from the monitor to the computer, the video card to the mother and if its not then try insert the memory aswell. ive got the same problem just like yours lately but i already configure it out and i found out that the problem was in the video card. i hope that helps you!
