Gbc HeatSeal Ultima 65 Laminating System Logo

My ultima 65 laminator is not sealing well on the left side. I've tried adjusting the upper tension which helps temporarily, but it reloosens after just a few minutes of use.

I fix these machines for a living. As the machines age the heaters in the red rollers dont heat evenly and cool areas dont seal well. If you have a heat gun check the temperature along both roller. Some variation is normal but very cool areas that dont seal well point to needing new heaters. GBC machines work well but the parts cost a fortune. if one heater is going bad the other one is too, change in pairs ONLY, heater sets are near 300 bucks last time I checked:(

By "upper tension" do you mean the hex screw located inside the left panel? If you tighten this until there is no space between the heat rollers it should eleminate the problem. If it is continues to loosen, back the screw out, apply a small amount of locktight to the threads before replacing the screw. You can find locktight at any hardware store usually in the Paint section near the glues. Hope this helps. Good luck

GBC Ultima 65 Laminator, I have air gaps between the layers, not sure what it is?

Check the orange rollers for damage. If they aren't smooth all the way around then that could be causing your problem. If the air gaps are on edges of the laminate, a tension adjustment or film could be the problem as well.

Replacing the fuse in an ultima 65 laminator

Hello, I found the service manual for the laminator.
https://www.manualslib.com/manual/838190/Gbc-Ultima-65.html?page=42#manual
page 42 shows the left side blow out. #16 is your 15A circut breaker, located on the underside of the left rear of the machine. Page 43 lists what all the numbered parts are if you need to know anything else. It doesn't give explicit instructions on how to remove, it but it shouldn't be difficult. Be gentle but firm and don't jerk it out or you might damage the connectors. Hope this helps.

How can I fix the edges of my laminator to seal.

make sure you are at 300 degrees temp, you can slightly adjust the pressure on each side by tightening down the 5mm hex nuts on top of each bearing housing. There is alot of foreign films out there right now that also have substandard glue that are causing all kinds of lamination problems. USA film always works

Does the GBC Ultima 65 have an adjustable pot to increase heat of rollers? If so, where is it located?

Ordinarily, laminators have speed controls to allow the laminated substrate to get hotter.

Top roller of GBC ultima 65 not heating

either the top heater tube, (inside the orange/red roller) is burned out (Open) or the wire on either side of the heater tube is burned or broken in half. It\'s not as bad as you might think.

Ione side not attaching and roller not heating up. Do

if just one roller is not heating up and the other one is then the heater tube is bad, it can be repaired, if only temporarily by removing the end cap of the suspect heater and reattaching the filament to the end cap. The filament is attached by pinching it to the fitting in the endcap. works everytime. You probably still should look for another heater tube though.
