All Expresso machines have hoses that carry the water from the reservoir to the dispensing valve. These get old and cracked or clogged over time. Try to locate the owners manual on line to see the parts inside on a diagram. Then, after it is unplugged and dry as you can, TAKE IT APART! Don't worry, just lay out some paper towels and take pictures with an iphone or digital camera for each step. Most machines have notches hiding little clips that must be pushed to open the unit. Use a thin, butterknife to press these and that section will open, revealing the hoses and wiring. Do not detach any wires unless you code them with tape to put them back. Then, clean or replace the hoses and check the clamps and anything else that looks odd or wrong from a leak or bad wire. If its a bad wire- THROW the unit out! Not worth a fire in the kitchen. Good luck

Can i backflush my 2002 Steel Uno Pro

You need to check if you have the solenoid valve, if you do, then back flush regularly to avoid group blockages.
You would want to descale regularly as well to avoid the solenoid blocking.

My Kitchen Aid Pro Line Espresso Machine has stopped heating the water on the espresso side. It still pumps, but it is not hot. The steamer side works fine.

Hi I have posted a service manual and a parts list here

It sounds like the boiler element or maybe the thermostat. You have to take the top part of the machine off to get a good look at the water boiler.
I have uploaded a not very good strip guide that I got from the internet, I have used it but it makes thing overly complicated to my mind, but here it is anyway.

It has written instruction that relate to two diagrams in the PDF.

Hi all, got a Artisan 5KPES100 and I'm not getting any water thru' the espresso boiler. Machine is making an occasional noise & sometimes just releasing a bit of steam thru' the espresso boiler, but no water. Have replaced the water pump, but still no water being drawn from the water tank. Hose is NOT kinked & there IS sufficient water in tank. Could it be the solenoid? Can I swap over the solenoids(coils) to check as frothing boiler is still producing water & steam? Any ideas would be magic.

Recently moved to Australia. Is there anyway I can get my much loved 120V Kitchen Aid food processor rewired for Australian 240V power. Model No: RKFP740 GC Step down transformers are expensive and ugly...

Without step-down transformers you are out of luck. I am sorry. I know the transformers are ugly but they are cheaper than replacing your food processor and espresso machine. One thing you could do is to contact Kitchen Aid and ask them if the motor can be wired for 240V. If not, ask them if you can purchase the 240V motor for your processor and replace it directly. As for the espresso machine, no idea...sorry.

Check your gfci plug/breakers. If its not the breaker there is a thermo resistor inside the coffee maker. You can find them at your local Radio Shack.

Astoria SAE 1 trickle of water from hot water faucet

Some models have an economiser valve, which mixes hot water from boiler with cold from inlet line, that could be closed or obstructed. The line from the boiler to the solenoid or the pipe inside the boiler could be blocked.
