To avoid the pop up Kindly right click on the Belkin router monitor Icon in the system tray & click exit. To avoid it happening all together, Go to control pannel & click on add / remove programs & unistall the router monitor software. The router would still work in the absence of the router monitor software.
Can i have the brand name of the modem , Your Internet service provider name , so that we can configure the router with using the CD.
We have another method to configure the router that is manual configuration method.
Ian, you have to 1st of all connect that printer to the computer and check if its working fine or not. Check if you have installed the necessary drivers and software that came along with the printer. Once that gets to go, then, connect the printer to Share router and check if the light above the USB is lit up to check if the port on router is working. If that is lit, you have to be connected to the router (make sure that you aren't connected wireless as a guest). Guest access doesn't have the rights to have file and printer sharing! Install the router monitor software properly that would be on the disk which came along with router or download the latest version of software from: http://en-us-support.belkin.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/3714/p/5132 You also have a brief tutorial on how to configure a printer with this router on the Belkin Support website. Here is the link for that. http://en-us-support.belkin.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/3796/p/5132.

If you are using windows 7, you should check the Microsoft Compatability list (search that name) to see if it is listed. If it is, and you are using 7, you don't need a driver (unless microsoft says otherwise). If it is not listed, you should make further inquiry of Belkin on their support page. If you find it not, you might find a 3rd party driver. Otherwise, you may need to replace the router. I recommend LinkSys as the easiest to get to go out of the box.
Hi! Absolutely, the Gateway Router is OS independent. All you need is a
computer with a properly configured Ethernet LAN adapter and a web
browser to configure the Gateway Router. Any platform that supports
Ethernet & TCP/IP is compatible with the router. You may need to
provide additional hardware & software (i.e. Ethernet cards and/or
software drivers) to ensure that all clients operate with the router.
You shouldn't need drivers for this. All you should have to do is plug it in to wall to power it, connect your cable from your isp What Operating System are you using?
Here is a link to the Belkin site for the user guide etc. The flash tutorial is pretty good.
1. Try and uninstall the Belkin client software
2. Check to see if the WZCSVC service is running
You can check this by issuing the following command:
a) net start
b) sc query wzcsvc
Both command should list some info about WZCSVC (Wireless Zero
Configuration) if it is running.
3. If your wireless card is installed successfully, you should see a
antenna-type icon in the system tray.
If not, you need to install the drivers for the card manually. Check
the Belkin CD for drivers.
4. If you can see your new router's SSID (wireless name) then you should be
able to see it as a non-admin as well.
5. Failing all of this, retry the Belkin client software and its
documentation for indication on non-admin issues or ways to use the above
mentioned Windows wireless client.
