LONG FILL. Try cleaning out the screens at the hose connections.

The LF code stands for long fill.. I would suspect a water inlet solenoid valve as the most likely suspect. It may be the hot or the cold valve. If the valve does not completely open the time to fill your machine takes too long. You can't replace just the one valve because the part contains all of the water inlet valves. That of course jacks up the cost but what can you do.

It may be a door lock Error, May be the Door Lock Mechanism is broken or just failed. Unplug the washer for a couple of minutes and see if it fixes the issue.

google the following "tech sheet 8182677 pdf" and download a tech sheet that has trouble shooting instructions used by service personnel.

Door unlock failure
Excessive force on door lid is preventing lock bolt from
retracting.
Wash media buildup is preventing lock bolt from retracting.
Machine/motor control cannot determine if door lid is in an

long fill error code. might wanna clean ur screens. take the hoses off ur washer and clean the screens

check if basket turns freely. if it does replace the main board

Following is the LF troubleshooting response from the Whirlpool Cabrio
Service Manual. The Cabrio is the same as the Kenmore Oasis.

“LF” (Washer is taking too long to fill)
Check the following:
Are the water inlet hoses kinked or clogged?
Are the water inlet valve screens clear?
Are both water faucets turned on?
Is the drain hose sticking too far into the
standpipe (siphoning)?
Is the pressure transducer hose kinked or
dislodged?
Press PAUSE/CANCEL to clear display.

bad main board or motor possitioner sensor.. most likely motor sensor.
China made junk parts with a million problems

HI, there is not a defect notice or recall on this particular unit but, we get a lot of complaints about this specific issue concerning the LF code on a frequent basis. this issue dose concern the inlet valve.

The replacement will work better than the factory installed piece. This is basically a blind defect.(defective factory part).

I had the same problem this weekend. Sears said they would have to send someone to fix it. Now I have to wait til Wednesday. It better be fixed then! It's only a month old machine, and I'm livid.
