Dometic RM3862 RV Refrigerator

When I turn on the unit to the gas setting I can hear it ignite and burn, but after a minute or two it shuts down to the "check" light. The AC option works.
The LP tank is 3/4 full. The stove lights and works fine.
Ideas???

Does the 2652 constantly burn LPG when in gas mode. For some reason (probably told so erroneously?) I was under the impression that the fridge automatically switches off and on the LPG flow/ignited as it...

The RM2652 should shut down when the fridge reaches proper temperature. So yes the flame should go out when operating on propane. If the refrigerator does not get cold enough, then the flame will not ever shut down. It is posible that you may require a replacement cooling unit. WEB SITE: ArctiCold Refrigeration We keep it cold

We have a dometic frig in our RV that runs on either electric or gas. Can I run it on gas while driving to the campground or do I just turn it off until we arrive?

The dometic is designed to run down the road in the gas mode, but NEVER fill you LP tank with you unit switched on, in either the gas or AC mode. Make sure you shut everything down before filling the tank!

RM2652 runs a short while on gas then gas shuts off.

I'm not sure what the problem may be but you could try calling All Seasons RV Appliance Parts & Service. There number is 1-800-344-0673 they have helped me in the past. That and there tech calls are free so it wouldn't hurt to give them a call.

RM2652 runs a short while on gas then gas shuts off.

That was my same problem. I posted yesterday but I don't think I did it right! Anyway I had stated I thought it was the thermocouple and that's what it was. The millivolts while connected were down around 13.5 or so and that low of a voltage is not enough for the control board to verify there is a flame present. I replaced the thermocouple and it now reads 33.5 millivolts while the flame is on. So before you buy a new control board, make sure it's not something less expensive. I paid almost $40 for the replacement, but I am in a hurry to get this unit repaired. You can find them on-line for about half that.

RV refrigerator works fine on AC power. Burns for 30 seconds on gas power then shuts off.

tap on the gas valve with a wrench, not too hard but not too light about 10 times, the valve is probably sticky from not being used,re-light and see what happens.

Dometic rv fridge runs fine on elec, lights on gas but in one min shuts down. Dometic RV S1621 fridge runs fine with elec, when start gas operation. The burner runs for about 30 seconds then shuts off....

It is key that all control switches are in the correct position, depending on what power source you are using, gas, electric, etc. If the switches are not in the proper setting, the unit will not operate.

Here's the manual for your fridge that should be printed out for your use and reference (and reading enjoyment). It has all the info needed to operate and troubleshoot it.

Typically, when using any gas appliance with a pilot light, the sensor has to first be hot enough to trigger it to allow the safety gas shutoff to open and allow the gas to flow to the pilot/burner. Follow the instructions and you should be all set.

Dometic/Duotherm propane furnace won't fire up

If this unit has a spark ignition you may just need to clean the flame sensor. It is a metal rod protruding in the path of the flame.
