It is something to do with ur phones either the filters are not properly installed or the router itself is gone bad
ideally all equipments should have a filter on it except the router if this has been checked by u
the better get a another router and test if the equip is ok or not

Can you introduce the version types of broadband network and its realization way?

First is the bearing network and broadband network to points clear, PTN and OTN are bearing network, both them are carrying broadband metropolitan area network (backbone) business. Itself is not broadband network. Broadband access technology at present mainly include: (1) the PON passive optical network, the current is given priority to with GPON, adopts the OLT + optical splitter, ONU + user solution, in the current mainstream broadband technology. (2) the DSLAM before FTTH as the main broadband access technology, is to use the original copper (lines) to realize broadband dial-up access. Is actually using MODEM digital signal modulation into high frequency simulation on copper wire transmission, with MODEM finally demodulation into digital signals. At present, the light into the basic finished copper retreated. (3) using LAN + light cat. (5) abroad and power carrier solution, is to use the high voltage wires at the same time the broadband service. (6) HFC radio and television use before, is the cable upload 50 ohm coaxial cable broadband business. Basic don't now.

Hi - My 2wire 1701 gateway has steady green power light and steady local network light but the broadband link light is steady amber. My computer is receiving the WiFi signal but I cannot get any internet...

The broadband link light tells you the status of the connection between the modem and the broadband servers in your area. Green means everything is A-Ok while amber means your modem is not picking up a broadband signal.

Try turning the modem off and on and also make sure the cables are secure while you're at it. If the broadband light is still amber, the only thing you could do next is to call your internet service provider.

2 wire Router is not working

I had a similar problem when the power went out and the router got hooped, the solution was to UNPLUG the power CONVERTER from the wall and wait ten minutes before plugging it in again.

Broaband link

Ok, thank you for clarifying.

It seems like the settings on the 1707 have been reset.
On this modem, while connected, type "homeportal.2wire.net" without the quotes.
  • click on "Broadband Link"
  • click on "Advanced Settings"
*note:you may have to enter your password. if you never set one and it asks you for one, click on "I still can’t remember the password". Follow the instructions.
  • On the "advanced Settings" page, make sure your settings are correct. The user name is the same you use to check your AT&T Yahoo Email. and also the password.
  • If you have forgotten your settings, you can call AT&T to retreive your settings at 1-877-722-3755. Have your AT&T Bill and the debit/credit card (used to activate your service) on hand.
They should be able to give you your info.
If not, comment back.

I don't like my local server....can i get total broadband connection from aol?

Hey dlowe0700,

While AOL does offer broadband services, they may not necessarily be available in all areas. For the most up-to-date coverage information, I would strongly suggest giving AOL a call at their toll-free hotline (800-973-1802) or visiting their broadband service website using the link I've provided below.

Hope this helps you out.

Sincerely,

2Wire 1701hg gateway- Broadband Access problem

hi! have you used this other identical 2wire modem before? if this other 2wire modem (is it the same 1701hg?) well you may need to configure the settings first. also 1000 series modems usually have 3 lights on it; power, broadband link, and local network. if these 3 lights are on, you may need to access the modem's user interface. assuming that all lights are green, on your computer directly attached to the 2wire, open up any browser, type in gateway.2wire.net. it will give you the network at a glance page. click on run system setup wizard, type in the system password. on the ppp authentication page, please check if it has your username & password (this is the one that you set up on your internet acct w/ your ISP), the next screen will establish a connection. (please tell me if you've got any error messages...)
